Ross's unique style of bass playing can be contributed to the diversity of musical styles he has been influenced by throughout his professional career. His earlier musical career path led him to perform with some of the Midwest's hottest regional rock and country acts throughout the 80's and 90's until he hooked up with fellow band members Darin Essery and Todd Ernster to form the Killer Hayseeds. Fans and band members not only respect Ross for his talent as a bassist and vocalist but also admire him for his warm and charismatic personality, which is clearly visible on and off the stage.
