Throughout the years as a music veteran James has a well-versed background in production, performing and touring. He has been signed with RCA, ABC, Dunhill & Metromedia Records and has lived and worked in New York and Los Angeles. During his long career James has performed with music notables such as Chicago, Guess Who, Moody Blues, Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King and Tower of Power, ZZ Top & Cheap Trick to name just a few. He was an original founding father of the nationally known “James Walsh Gypsy Band” producing two national hits in the top 100 Billboard Charts, that band is still a powerhouse today playing select engagements when the Killer Hayseeds are off. As a producer he has produced over 100 CDs and hundreds of albums throughout his career, three of which were with the Killer Hayseeds. On those first recordings James was affectionately know as the “5th Seed”, only time would tell that the premonition was to become a reality. Combining his vast keyboard knowledge, unbelievable vocal ability, and most importantly genuine warmth and caring as a human being, the piece he brought to our puzzle fit perfectly. We are proud to say that, James “the Owl” Walsh IS the 5th Seed.
